Foam Making Machines

time2010/12/17

Foam machines can add a fun twist to any type of party. They work well to set the tone of an event while adding to your guests' overall enjoyment. If you are hosting an event, especially one where your guests will be actively dancing, you may consider using a foam machine to add to the excitement.
      History
Foam machines were first used during the early 1930's. In the film "A Rhapsody in Black and Blue," the set was filled with foamy soap suds. Through the years, however, foam making machines became of good use not only by club owners but by firefighters; using foam cannons to disperse crowds during commotions in public places. It was only recently when clubs and party/event organizers began to make use of such equipment in creating more enjoyable celebrations.
      Purpose
Foam making machines help in enhancing a particular motif for a certain event. They can also serve as props for film and studio presentations to help make the set look more spectacular, but at the same time believable to the audiences. Aside from this, foam machines are also common in clubs, raves and party venues. Some organizers also plan and host "foam parties" where the individuals present are subject to get wet with the suds and foamy bubbles generated by the machine.
      Mechanics
Foam making machines usually consist of an electronically powered bubble blower. Attached to it is a fabric bag where the foam concentrate is pumped, then distributed in the form of bubbles. The machine's controls can adjust the distribution of the soap suds according to air volume, solution flow and foam consistency. You can also change the distribution effects of the foam to come up with either a mass of big bubbles or a blizzard effect.
      Risks
While foam making machines are ideal for fun-filled activities such as parties and club events, they can also cause certain health risks due to the liquid concentrate used to create the foam. Among the potential health issues caused by the use of these machines are skin allergies and eye irritation. Additionally, accidents are more prone to happen due to the liquid concentrate making the floor slippery.
      Safety
When using foam generators, be sure to provide a dry area so that the foam does not reach the places where other electronic devices are located. This will keep the foam concentrate from damaging property and reduce the risk of shock and fire at the event's location.
